Good article, but a little long-winded even for me. At least they didn't buy into the nonsense criticism that Carr can't read defenses and instead reiterated what I said about him over-thinking in the pocket. I also actually like that McCoy isn't trying to tinker with his mechanics. By this age, a guy throws how he throws, and the only thing you're going to accomplish by messing with that is disrupting his feel and accuracy.

That does not make sense. If Carr stays on the bench it's because Jake is playing well and the Panthers are winning. It's like your saying if we win with Jake then Fox gets fired. FYI Fox will be coaching the Panthers next year no matter who the starting QB is.

Actually what I am saying is if Jake is still the starter at the end of the season it means that Fox stuck with him no matter how bad he sucked. Therefore, Mr. Richardson will pull the plug on Fox and try to bring in Cowher. If Cowher isn't coming, then Fox isn't going anywhere in my opinion, so I partially agree with you there. However, I think Carr is in Carolina as more than a back up. He was brought in to put pressure on Delhomme, and although Delhomme is the starter now I don't think that means that Carr won't be breathing down his neck and ready to jump in when (not if) Jake starts throwing interceptions.

Carr was brought here because he was available cheaply and he is much better than Stinky Winky. We had no chance to win with Winky. Jake is our starter and team leader. Unless he gets hurt or performs much worse than he did last year then he will stay the starter.

The ONLY way Carr starts is if (1) Jake gets hurt and Carr plays lights out during his absence or (2) if the Panthers are losing, no matter how poorly Jake plays. If Jake sucks and the team still finds a way to win, he won't be benched. If the team is losing they'll consider pulling the plug.

That was a good article. I'm still a believer in Carr (and always have been), but I'm not calling for Jake's head. Jake is still the QB that led this team to a Super Bowl and two NFCCGs. Last year, yeah -- he sucked, especially on third down and late in games. But his OL was crap and his OC was senile. He had no running game to speak of, and the scheme was awful, to say the least. I'm willing to cut the guy some slack for that.
