the way a delivery "looks" does not matter. Jake's passes don't get batted down, Carr letting go of the ball at his rib cage makes a difference. You really don't know much about sports do you?

It's liable to take about a half to show Moore isn't ready and then what? Not that I wouldn't love to see him be a Cinderella story, I just don't see it.

Jake does have his share of batted passes as well--he's not immune, but Carr's waist-to-shoulder sling is (apparently) easier to swat down. Too many batted balls from him this year

Actually it hadn't been a problem until today.

really? I could swear I have seen some batted balls from him (home and away), but yes, today was a bit more problematic.

Admittedly, when I am shooting games, I am more concerned about the video (at the time) than the actually meat of the play--just trying to get the play airable for TV.

    I'll defer.

Can you find me any historical data on passes batted down from Carr?

Once you do, and can tie data into his delivery flaws, we can talk son.

Carr said he came here because we were the only team who told him he could use any delivery he wanted. He wanted to go back to the side armed delivery he used in HS. Apparently at Fresno St and in Houston the coaches made him use a more overhead delivery, although it still looked somewhat sidearmed. No wonder his accuracy and arm strength have suffered. That isnt even mentioning those gloves.

I've got less sympathy for a player who makes decisions like that. Hoping a player gets hurt is inexcusable, as is cheering when one does. Calling for another player is fine, IMHO. I do understand his teammates not liking it. They usually also don't want their coach to be fired. Its just human nature for decent people not to want the people they work beside to be hurt.
