That's silly. I've been talking about football, you've been talking about this. Sorry if you're unhappy with what I'm saying, it's not an attack or insult. If you want, though, take it up with the new owners.

I've been talking about June cuts because June cuts are relevant. They will cut some players in this format. I'll go ahead and guarantee that. Not just that Marty did, but that the next guy will do this somewhat, too. Hopefully not all the time. But it'll happen, and that's a part of this very detailed puzzle.

it's the same hit but over two years. That's not the same thing.

You do realize that continuing to post proves my point about you, right?

you'd suggest you were right either way. But at least I'm talking about the subject.

so I'll say again, it's the same hit but over two years. That's not the same thing. No idea why you'd suggest otherwise.

I only have to quote myself because the things you post are things I've already addressed. You continue to post after being told not to precisely because your intent is to shit up the thread and create conflict. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate it whenever you expose yourself as a giant hypocrite who engages in exactly the type of behavior you claim is bad for the board, but I feel like this is a useful thread and would prefer if you didn't piss all over it because you're so jealous anytime someone besides you posts something worthwhile.

player X is signed for 5 years, 25 million. $10 million is a signing bonus, counts $2 million per year. $3 million salaries per year.

Completes two seasons. Two seasons of proration is $4 million that's counted. Year 3, once you make it that far, counts either way.

Cut 1, he's let go in February as a straight cut. $3 million saved that year, $4 million in cap accelerates. Cap goes up by $1 million.

Cut 2, a June-style cut. $3 million salary saved. $4 million goes to the cap next year, $2 million of which would've counted anyway. Saves you $3 million total now, costs you $4 million next year.

It's the same cap acceleration, and yet it's two vastly different situations. I invite anyone who is still paying attention, to decide if situations A and B are the same thing.

I'm sorry you take the above personally. I encourage you to look into why you think that, because it's a lot more relevant than crying about me.

    Yet again:
And I hope you don't think anyone buys your excuses. You've clearly crapped up this thread intentionally, and you continue to post after being asked not to precisely because this is the result you want. As I've always said about you, you engage in exactly the kind of behavior you complain about. According to your own words, you're bad for the board.

It is funny how magnus gets so insanely jealous that he can't let someone else's good thread simply be good.
