It's not about the total cap hit, though. You don't cut players for cap hit, you cut them for the savings. June cuts change the savings - at a later cost, obviously.

The net result is that designating a player a June cut (or just cutting that player then) obviously makes a player more cuttable, and your ideal is to show when players can be cut. State why that's wrong without a personal attack.

    Yes, it absolutely is.

My ideal is to show how much it will cost the team to cut a player, which is what I did. Take Jon Beason for example. Regardless of whether you make him a June 1st cut or not, releasing him before the 2013 season creates $13 million total in dead cap whereas keeping him costs the team $9.5 million. Thus it doesn't make sense to cut him at that point since you're paying an extra $3.5 million for him not to be on the team. Whether that $13 million is all against the 2013 or divided between 13/14 is irrelevant. The point of this thread is to show how much guys cost and when it makes sense to let go of them.

This is my thread, and not only did you have the gall to shit it up with your usual passive-aggressive behavior (it almost seems like you get jealous when anyone besides you posts something informative), but then you proceeded to tell the person who created the thread that they're wrong on what the thread is about. Again, your participation in this thread is not welcome. Stay out of it.

It's relevant that cutting a player for cap room creates different amounts different ways. I don't know why that's personal for you, but whatever. It will be an important piece of the puzzle for me, and it will be used by the team.

You're the one who decided to shit up this thread because I made it. Your participation in this thread is unwelcome and unwanted, but you continue to post simply to create conflict. The opening post contains the information it is intended to have and all the information it needs to have. Feel free to create your own if you want more information, but stay out of this one.

June cuts are relevant and will be used. I'm sorry you are upset.

The total cap amount stays the same whether it's a June cut or not. You're intentionally shitting up this thread because you get jealous whenever someone else (especially me) posts something worthwhile. When you behave like this you're bad for the forum.

Total cap, yes. Impact total, yes. Impact on the year in question, massive difference, you'd have to agree.

There is no doubt that teams defer proration. And that changes cuttability. That wasn't a Marty Hurney special, teams use it. I promise.
