Not likely, unfortunately. Even though the cap hit would be the same whether cut or traded, a team that trades for one of the players would have to assume all the base salaries that Hurney negotiated. So any team that trades for DeAngelo would have him on what basically amounts to a contract for 3 years, $17.25 million. They could cut him at any point and have no cap hit, but if someone is going to trade anything of value for him then they would want multiple seasons and I'm not sure he would have any market at that price. Meanwhile Beason would amount to a 4 year contract for $28 million, which seems even more unlikely to find any takers given his Achilles. So unfortunately I don't think any other teams will want to trade even low round picks for these guys at those prices.

Really not, since accounting for every hypothetical would make that list unwieldly. Again, the total cap hit doesn't change regardless of whether it's a June 1st cut or not, so that along with how much it will cost for the player to be on the team are really the only two important figures. I get that you're just looking to start conflict, but this is actually a useful thread so I would prefer that you do so in one of the others.

There's only one extra input. The June cut for Godfrey going into 2014 is much more interesting to me than Michael Avila's salary.

I'm not telling you to do anything, but it's probably the most relevant situation for cutting ability, which seemed to be your point.

And no. I'm really not looking for conflict, I'm talking about the cap. Call me crazy but that feels relevant.

I heard that some unused cap from this year can be carried into next, so if we have any there's a little relief.

Yeah, it's never you, it's always someone else. To avoid any confusion as to your motives let's just agree that you never post in this thread again.

stop being so sensitive. If the idea is to put out someone's numbers as your statement of when it's palatable to cut them, then it seems realistic to show the way they would more likely be cut (which would also be a year earlier). That seems very relevant, you not wanting to cut players that way doesn't mean that's not an option.

Yet again, the total cap hit is the same whether it's a June 1st cut or not. You're not making a valid point, you're just trying to shit up a thread because you're constantly passive-aggressive, and then don't even have the lady-balls to admit your own behavior.
