CARNIVÀLE

On HBO Sundays at 9:30pm after 'Sex and the City'.

I saw the 'Making of' the other day and it looks like it may be a pretty good new show.

 

I've seen some promos for it. Looks.....different. I may have to check it out.

 

We were able to see the sneak preview at work about a month ago. One thing I would suggest is to watch about 3 shows first. It will take more than one show to develop the characters and the storyline.

 

I watched the first episode last night. It was pretty good. Way out there, but good.

 

The pilots are always all about introductions and setting everything up. So I'll watch a couple of more before I make up my mind.

But tell me this.... is the preacher guy good or evil?

 

im sure they will set that up on the next episode

overall i liked what i seen so far , definetly was different and out there

i wanted to see more so i guess thats a good thing

 

I was wondering that too. At the very beginning they had that very old guy talking about " in every generation 2 are born 1 good and one evil"

I don't know if the preacher is good and Ben is evil or vice versa. It was a little strange that after he healed that little girls legs the field turned black when she walked past it.

 

Carnivale rocked! Kinda reminded me of David Lynch's work. I look forward to more.

 

so is this kid the cause of the dustbowl? healing and killing plants.

who is "management"? they refer to "him" so it's gotta be a guy. i don't think it's the preacher. i think he's being set up as the antagonist, tho i wouldn't call him the bad guy per se.

the preacher's sister might end up being somebody that's not exactly down with the preacher.

pretty interesting. HBO has some good shows.

 

I caught a glimpse of a future episode that showed Sampson talking to what looked like a baby in a jar of liquid. So I'm thinking that might be "management"
