UCLA? are freaking serious? are you any kind of hoops fan? they are like 20-60 the last three years. They were good one and two decades ago. Hell yeah your RPI would go up playing Charlotte, aside last year, our average RPI finishes about 30-40. Hence why we get so many NCAA invites.

I understand your point - but it is a little disinginuous to say we are afraid to play you, don't you think? Instead of top 30-40 we are playing the top 10-20.

Chapel Hill schedules Davidson, NC A&T, UNCW, App St, UNCG...everyone but Charlotte. It’s obviously not a matter of why would you schedule us, it’s a matter of why you won’t. You schedule every other school in the state. It’s not just UNC; Duke and Wake are the same way. Must be an ACC thing.

As an alum (you are an alum aren’t you?), wouldn’t you like to see the Heels play in your hometown? Give us a game every year in the new arena. Heck, we can make it a tournament and bring in two mid-majors for first round opponents. I think that might sell a few tickets, don’t you?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the Charlotte 49ers were NOT the road block to prevent Antwan Jamison from playing his "home" game here.

Don't give me that they played Davidson here(not sure if they did or not) ..........Davidson may play some games in Charlotte but they are not located in the city that Jamison played HS ball.

PS - I'm not sure if its been made clear here but.......the Tar Holes suck.

As far as I can remember we have only scheduled in state foes that have some sort of ties to the program. I know that we played UNC-A after Weil had left, but the game was scheduled before he took off. Also, you are acting like we play all of those team every year - y'all had your shot. You're just pissed you couldn;t take advantage of it. ;)

And if you could read - you would see that yes, in fact I am an alum of UNC - Chapel Hill, but nice try at the old, everybody who pulls for UNC didn't go there trick. Besides Carolina already plays 2 games a year here - although I wish they woud scrap that shitty ass Tournament Of Mediocre teams...errrr Tournament of Champions. I would prefer that they just schedule one top flight team for here.

I honestly like UNCC, and I think that one of the dumbest things the state did was to build the new med school in ECU over UNCC because that would have been a big reputation enhancer for UNCC and the area.

dude, they quit that sorry tourny of champions like 3 years ago when College of Charleston beat you.

    you have now said:

that UCLA is a good program, that the TOC tournament still exists, and that all 16 state schools have UNC in their respective names.

Thanks for the "avatar" lesson, Metro. And, I very much enjoy your signature line on Calipari.
Every time I hear his name, I want to hit the sound clip, "You slimy, scumbag liar" that WFNZ is making famous again.

I don't think that Jamison got a "home" game. Mayabe they considered that TOC BS his "home" game - I don't know. We didn't play Davidson here.

damn - you're right - I thought they were still playing it here - to be honest - we had a kid in October and that and the fact that Carolina wasn't much fun to watch meant that I really didn;t pay attention to b-ball over the last year or so. My bust. The point remains that that tourney blew chow for a while before they pulled the plug.
