Car Payment vs. Savings

    A buddy of mine has a similar deal and he drives a Hyundai. He comes out pretty well on the whole deal.

    Hyundai is now over priced for the product. I have been looking and they think their shit is better than proven vehicles such as honda and toyota. Kia knows they have a hurdle to over come and their vehicles are a couple price points below Hyundai with a better warranty and lower finance options.

    2-3 years ago Hyundai did what Kia is doing today and they blew up....too fast if you ask me.

    He has had his car a couple years so I guess he got it before they changed. He has had two Sonatas though and he has been happy with both of them.

    Dang, the IRS mileage rate is 48 cents a mile.

    Not at my job. We get the car and the 48 cents/mile.

    Why would they pay you mileage if they provide the car?

    You get the 48 cents tax free but the value of the car will be taxable to you.

    you get to pick the vehicle and it's in your name and can you use it for personal use also?

    cost of gas, insurance and repairs to the vehicle is why I get both.
