....and void these moves as not being in the best interests of Major League Baseball????

First the Reds sign Joey Hamilton..........then they sign Jamie Navarro.

Those failed reclamation projects weren't good enough....now they go get Todd VanFuckingPoppel and Albie Lopez?????

What's next ?????? Don Gullett pulls himself out of a 20+ year retirement and returns to the mound.

There needs to be a law to prevent this kind of stupidity.

wow, the Reds make some bad moves and 86 is dropping F bombs. :D They do have some bad pitching. Maybe Jose Rijo has another year in him and Dibble can still close. I loved that 90 team. Nothing was funner than watching a healthy Eric Davis in his prime.

I thought this was gonna be a All Star abortion thread. How can Sosa not be in a HR derby in his own town? they also need to ban Japanese internet votes.

Just calling 'em as I see 'em. :smiley2: :smiley2:

'90 was an awesome season. One of my favorite all time sports memories was Joe Oliver's GW hit off Eckersley to win Game 2 (my apartment neighbors complained for weeks). Also, I'm lucky/old enough to remember '75 & '76 as well.

However, the main reason for my rant was that I remember Charlie Finley was trying to dump Vida Blue and he worked out a deal to trade Blue to the Reds.

However, Bowie Kuhn vetoed the deal as "not being in the best interests of baseball". By the end of the season, Blue was a free agent and ended up in SF.

Just think someone needs to step in and prevent the Reds from sliding down the slope to be another Mets or Tigers.
