I was wondering abou that last night. There's the classic "rust" factor of having a long layover. That versus the abuse of just finishing a tough 7 game series. However, I don't think we have any major injuries to speak of, do we? (except Cole)...so, I say the edge goes to us right now, at least the first two games.

considering during the regular season these teams play 3-5 games per week, 8 days off is an eternity.

    Edge-Carolina

But the freshness factor can't be ruled out. Oilers have had a week to heal bumps and bruises...

    BTW--games 1-2 on OLN, 3-7 on NBC

OLN has done a great job on coverage considering they are nowhere close to a major player. I'm glad they stepped up to broadcast the games. Trying to follow hockey on the internet is not an easy thing.

well, seeing Edmonton, an 8 seed, make the finals, I am leaving nothing to chance, hence the games 3-7 reference....

No, I wouldn't be covering any parade in Raleigh.

I believe just the first 2 games are on OLN, the rest are on NBC. Who would call the games for NBC? AS far as the Oilers layoff goes, Roloson is said to be streaky and considering he was pretty hot as of late so the break seems great for the Canes. It seemed to help in the Devils series. I'm pretty confident the Canes will roll over the Oilers.
