Can God forgive suicide?

    If a person killed themselves cause they were in a lot of pain, couldn't God forgive them. Or are all people who commit suicide going to hell?

    If they accepted Christ they go to heaven if not they don't. That is the only thing that matters.

    Suicide is not the answer to life's pain, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional. Christ is the answer and in Him alone will we find healing from the problems that ultimately cause a person to end life before God has chosen to do so.

    You can committ a major sin and still go to heaven yes, I would not however say all is still good. You will be out of God's will and cause yourself a lot of pain and hardship. Once you are God's child you are always His. He may have to discipline you but He will not forsake you.

    JB- anyone who seriously commits suicide is mentally ill (even for a short period of time.) They can be so overcome with grief, fear, trauma .... that they lost touch with reality; if only briefly.

    I don't think God would send anyone to hell for being so overwhelmed with emotion that they make a serious (deadly) mistake in judgement.
