    Who's your team asshole? since you're a tar hole fan, I'll say the Braves. That 1995 World Series was amazing, since they got Greg Maddux at veteran minimum.

    Sorry Fenway is filled for 30 degree games in April and other major league cities can't fill up in the summer time.

    Aren't you suppose to acquire players in order to win? That's what every single team in baseball is trying to do the Sox just did it better than anyone else. The Yankees meltdown shows you can't just go out and buy a WS title.

    Anyway glad I won't have to hear about 1918 or the stupid curse or any of that crap anymore. Now we can all bother the Cubs about losing. :banana: :banana: :banana:

    two of the '88 Dodgers who played key roles in their series win that year -- Kirk Gibson and Jay Howell -- were new to the team that year. So were three other contributors: jesse Orosco, John Tudor and Alfredo griffin. Guess LA "purchased" that series win.
