Poor mechanics, stolen laptops, WHATEVER. The kid is a winner and he is going to make panther fans happy for years, as long as he stays healthy and Bus Cook doesn't demand 200 million for his first "real" contract.
With Cam the panthers could add wins vs the bears, skins, vikes, titans, colts, and probably one against the falcons. I'm thinking at least 5 wins with a really tough schedule is not bad. I predict Cam throws for a little over 4,000 yds with close to 30 TDs. That would put him in the top 5 in yardage and the top 10 in TDs. That would be damn good IMHO to go along with 5 or 6 wins for a rook who only played one year of college ball.

    Congrats to panther fans!

One thing I like about Newton is he was pissed off the first 2 weeks when he had all those big passing numbers, this week he had a shitty day and got the W and he looked like the happiest kid in the world.

accuracy, rain, probably luck as well. Hard for anyone to consistently hit two out of every three deep balls long term.

1012 passing yards (3rd in league)
4 passing TDs (tied with Rivers, Vick...ahead of Big-Ben, Bradford)
2 running TDs (tied for 6th in the league...ahead of a ton of starting RBs)

Could he do 4000 yards and 30TD? With this defense and running game he is going to have to...

I thought his shorter passes were thrown better yesterday then they had been previously while the long balls were wild. I do like that he doesn't seem to get overly emotional about a bad play, just moves on to the next snap.

He is more likely to hit 4,000 yards than he is 30 TDs. Not that it really matters. I am curious to see how he plays next week. Will he continue to be off on his passes or will he settle back down and be accurate again?

i agree w/ coach, that cam is emotional. i thought sunday was really the first game we/he had a chance to win, and i think nerves got him for a while.
i agree w/ collin too, he fucking did it when it mattered. my neighbor was up here, pulling for the fucking jags, and we both thought it stupid of del rio to play not to lose, to give a 2 time nat champ and heisman winner, thru all the scrutiny, the ball at the end of the 4th quarter. what the fuck did del rio think he was gonna do, fold?
