Armanti Edwards hauls in a great deep catch in the end zone and draws cheers. That hasn't happened in awhile for him.

Panthers only have 5 LBs practicing tonight. Beason, Davis, Anderson, Senn and Gaither can't practice yet.

Steve Smith turns CB RJ Stanford around on a nice dig route. Makes great catch then spins the ball. He's back.

Cam Newton looking very sharp with his throws. Then again, there is no one playing defense at this point either.

Newton throws to Smith and the crowd goes wild. Well, not wild, but they cheered.

enough conflicting reports - even that Clausen and Newton stayed late to sign autographs, compared to others that say Clausen left early and Newton worked late with Pike/Shula - that I'm not really worried too much about tweets by civilians for camp yet.

Schwartz was @ RG, along with all the 2009 starters. I think I can live with our OL if it stays that way.

Sunday action near end but not before Cam Newton hits David Gettis deep in stride. On release, fan yells, "There it is!"

Newton runs the option, keeps it. Yep, it's gonna be a fun season.

On Clausen... Looks good so far. Seems to be stepping up to the challenge at hand. Helps to have weapons.

Newton does not lack for arm strength: Throws 50ydr to Gettis, hits in the numbers over Jordan Pugh. Biggest cheer of the day.

Also, the end around to Armanti comes together a little quicker than when Moose or HIM were running it.

Cam deep to Gettis. Seems like something they can build on. Crowd likes it anyway.

Cam connects on a deep post route with Gettis. Great pass. Really great pass. Crows roars.

Loose, fast, energetic. RT @BruceBrewski: what do you mean by "college atmosphere"?

No accident when they work on inside run drills, it's Cam with the 1s. They're going to have things for him even if Jimmy starts.

Everything's changed around here. They even stretch differently. Indiviual drills are different. Almost a college atmosphere.

(previous reports have a 'couple' end arounds to 89 as well. Doing a lot of trick plays. Option - wtf
    also, notes suggest

just watching video here, but Clausen looks to have more zip on his balls, and possibly throws a little more over the top.
hard for a lot of people to notice that with Cam throwing so hard but Clausen does look like he can step into throws a little harder.

I mean shit it's just against air but maybe the toe thing isn't bothering him and that makes a difference.
