Yay! So let's hope for 3-4 wins in 2011, just so we can potentially trade away more future picks for Luck, hypothetically. And, no, the #1 pick is not worth trading down for in 2011. Not happening. I've seen about 80% of the media and league insiders connect Cam to Carolina. Tells me there's almost no chance of anything else happening. I'm not completely sold on it, and I am not hell-bent miserable over it. I suppose I'm curious enough to see what he can do, since not even the wisest truly know for sure.

It's pretty much the same thing the 49ers did with Alex Smith six years ago. They said all the right things about him, but they were obviously trying to trade out of a pick that nobody wanted.

If I'm wrong about not wanting to go QB with the pick, good for us. I'm resigning myself to supporting it, if in fact this becomes the reality.

We'll have a vet in anyhow, biggest immediate issue will be the team hurting at a spot we could have invested the pick in.

If he busts big, at least we'll be rid of Hurney. I hope.

Unless you work for Marty, Ron, or JR--you probably don't know what the intent is.

I think I know what Rivera would want, but it's not really his call.

If he hasn't been fired by now, I have a hard time believing it will ever happen as long as JR is the owner. Hurney could probably trade every pick to Atlanta for a snow cone machine and get a raise.

I can see Clausen holding up signs with numbers on the sideline now or maybe they can use those pictures like Oregon did :rolleyes4:

Not so sure. He's managing a TEAM now, not just a defense. He might want someone to throw the ball around a little bit and move some chains. Just a thought.

Rivera said he wanted a better tight end and a franchise qb.

Against all Fox type protocol, we signed shockey. We're drafting Newton.

If Newton is the pick then I`m hoping like hell he catches on quick and does better than expected.:N1yeeaah:

I just hope he isn`t the pick.
