cable telephone?

    anyone use it? What are the pro's and con's vs a regular land line?

    I've been using Vonage for about 3 years. It's cheap but once in a while I have quality issues. Also, if you're cable is out, you're shit out of luck. The same goes for power.


    But we all have cell phones now.

    if you have calls forwarded to your cell phone (for business purposes) and the cable goes out, does the call still get forwarded?

    Yes. I automatically have my office calls forward to my cell after 3 rings. If the cable is out, it automatically goes to your cell.

    I have Charter Telephone. It's great, anywhere in US and Canada is local.
