    Fisher would be an intresting hire, but I don,t think it will happen. It should be Kragthorpe, but it appears he has taken himself out of the picture with his comments this week. Davis has had several serious conversations with the Tarheel power brokers. He apparently is putting on a very cautious attitude toward the UNC job while also showing lots of interest.

    In Raleigh, yes Amato's days are numbered but. Cowher would be logical, and sure, the job would be his if he wanted it.

    While Kragthorpe isn't horrible... he is by far isn't what I'd call top 5 material.

    Has it already been posted that Pete Carroll tried to contact UNC during the previous vacancy and never heard back from them? Not that he was a hot commodity then but that shows how much it was slated for an insider.

    fisher is too hot of a NFL coach to drop down to college. I know he's been mentioned for a possible replacement ofr parcells and gibbs, if either decided to leave after this year.

    I guess his recruiting base is the midwest. He'd have a lot of catching up to do in the Carolinas.
