He quit. Same as Wanny. You said at the time that was cheap, and I said Wanny was pushed. Apparently not so. Both owners had made it clear the caches would be fired at the end of the season. So both coaches wanted to be free to pursue college jobs. I read on a rumor sheet that Wanny pushed hard to be allowed to resign with his money, threatening to only work 9 to 5, or whatever. OOH, I don't blame the guys for wanted to get hired somewhere else. And their replacements are probabaly excited about coaching, at least for a couple of games. And they were lame ducks since the owners had leaked that they would be fired. OTOH, it sure makes a guy like Zook look good for staying.

They almost beat Atl. But at other times, it seems so. I think they have very short attention spans, or something. I read today that Benson is getting frustrated with the stadium stiuation and may try to sell the team. If so, there isn't any reason to fire Haslett. Its just that much money he has to pay, that he won't get back from a sale.

It just seems unprofessional to me of both the coach and the organization.

yeah, that's been rumored for a year now.
Meyer is a hell of a coach.

Erickson will be gone soon. Haslett. There's an off chance that you see a Parcells, Vermiel, or Gibbs retire, of course.

The President or AD at UF is best friends with Meyer. I think the job is his if he wants it.
