    WVU is a football school. GOOD fan support. UNC has no fan support and is a basketball school.

    Some say there's a shot at Butch Davis... some say UNC doesn't want Davis... I don't expect Davis... aiming a bit high with him.

    The guy at Navy is a possibility. The OC at Louisville as well and the DC Auburn.

    Davis is a big name, but hasn't coached on the college level in years. I'm hoping for the HC at Navy, he has an impressive resume.

    I'm guessing Davis would look to a NFL job first, as a few should be opening as usual. Most D1A schools are happy to get a coordinator with some NFL experience. I think UNC should go that route. You don't really need a big name.

    don't make your program look like nc state did when they went chasing basketball coaches. The mere mention of getting Rodriquez from WVU, when he has a national championship contending program is laughable. Almost the same with Petrino at louisville.

    Also don't want a Calipari situation, where a coach visits, just to get a pay increase from his current school.

    Word is that UNC has hired the same consultant, headhunter, if you will, who lured Mack to Texas back in the day.

    While I agree that Chizik (sp) would be an excellent choice, I fear that the higher ups are insistent upon a proven HC candidate.

    Having said that, I'd be happy with B. Davis.
