    - Has not considered Harbaugh

    - Focus on assistants but open minded (indicated most current playoff teams hired coaches from assistant positions )

    - Fired Fox b/c he won 3 of 9

    - Played young players b/c Fox wouldn't

    - Paid coaches $11.4 million last year, did not want to fire and pay new. The $11.4 million was top 5 money. That got him 2-14.

    - Will not re-sign players until CBA is done.

    - Will not trade #1 overall pick

    - Not optimistic about CBA

    Bullshit

    Makes sense

Didn't realize this but makes sense

    Didn't realize they could anyway

    Good

Hoping things break loose. Seems the rookie salary cap is an easy fix. both sides want it

Any indications about Luck? I am trying to accept the fact that we are not interested in Harbaugh, but do not want to lose hope we will draft luck. I am unable to watch the press conference, but it sounds like an old captain that is going down with the ship and we are along for the ride.

Specifically mentioned no back to back winning seasons.

Home losing streaks to long, impacting attendance.

Got rid of the vets so Fox would have to play the young guys.

Said the first three coaches hired, it was about what the coaches wanted, this time it'll be about what the organization wants.

Yeah Marty should be on a short leash.

Luck is pretty much unanimously seen as the top pick, JR indicated they won't be trading it.

Regarding Luck, he was asked if the Panthers would consider trading this first round pick. He said no.

Can't remember the exact words but the way he phrased it and the look on his face says to me we're are getting Luck.

Forgot one: when asked if he'd consider a former head coach, he said "well, I'd first call the owner of his former team and ask why that coach wasn't working for him anymore".

I hope that means a former HC isn't likely. I hope that means we won't be seeing Cowher, Gruden, or Dungy.

Cower wasn't fired, was he? I thought he actually 'retired' on a high note.

As much as JR loves the steelers, he'd prolly hire Cowher in a second.

He also know almost everyone by name and stopped everyone who asked a question to confirm who they were and who they work for. He caused a lot of reporters to step back.

Could tell he has a real sharp sense of humor.

My respect for him has grown.

Also, I didn't know that he only owns 48% of the team. He talked about his 14 business partners who he is responsible too. Said when he goes into talk to the union they start off saying they want more benefits, more money, and shorter hours. They use that as their starting position and that isn't a reality.

Yeah, no kidding- he makes that blanket statement, almost indicating a slight, and yet he interviewed and offered the job to Dungy.

He seemed like a determined but yet a bit spiteful old goon. I'm worried.
