Brokeback Mtn

I’ll die a better person for having never seen brokeback mountain.

 

i saw it. loved it. i went in hoping jake gyllenhaal's presence would make up for heath ledger being in it but was really pleasantly surprised at how well heath did. certainly his best career performance, i attribute his newfound skill on a great director and an awesome supporting actor. the ending surprised me; i didn't expect it to be so sad (trying not to give away spoilers here). ang lee did a very respectable job making canada look like wyoming. the story was moving, if a little slow going at times. the acting from everyone was impressive, even anne "princess mia" hathaway. mostly, i was surprised how ang lee managed to make a movie that lasted longer than the short story took to read. how does that work? i think it's an A movie.

 

did Heath and/or Jake pack any prairie dogs up their asses?
