    brined turkeys are the best.

    but, could you not brine a turkey and still fry it? bet it would be great

    you could certainly soak it in something before frying, I just don't know if you'd see the same results.

    The cider-honey brine I used this year f'in whipped.

    basically a turkey marinated in a brine(salt water solution) overnight. then cook as normal. gives off best flavor and meat stays juicy.

    I have brined a turkey and put it on the smoker. SOB thats good

    all about brining

    I use just enough water to dissolve the salt, and then throw in honey and apple cider. I had about 3" of juices left in the 25 lb turkey after cooking, with it going in dry.

    you could, but ther fryer would explode from the salt water trapped in the bird.

    we brine every year with a cider-based brine. never had a deep fried turkey, but i'm very happy with our brined birds.

    I wonder if that turkey would be tastier if you skinned it before marinating.[I don't know how difficult it'd be to do so, might not be worth the trouble.]
