Where have you been this whole time? The way he has finally showed up and played the last 2 weeks, I'd like to have seen possibly what he could have obtained if he hadn't been injured continuously his first 2 years. Couldn't believe I saw him give that nice spin and kiss with the left hand tonight. Before long, they may start referring to the Big 3 and the Big'n!! haha. If Z and Mason Plumlee can continue to give them the inside game and rebounding along with Miles and Thomas.... Maybe they'll make it to the Elite 8 and get beyond the Sweet 16 for the first time since 04. Ever since we lost to UConn in the Final Four that year, we have yet to make it passed the 16... Granted our talent dropped down dramatically once JJ and Sheldon left.. looks to be coming back around though.

This team does not lack for talent but it is a different kind of team than they have had in the recent past and it is taking a while to adjust to that.

i think the gtown game got the attention of our post players more than any other game.. since then mason and zoubek have stepped up big time. Thomas has always given effort and rebounds, but he is just not wide enough and can easily be pushed back sometimes. I watched the tape of the Duke Carolina game @ Duke when Henderson, Zoubek, Scheyer all were freshman along with Green, Ellington, Lawson... Just the transformation of the bodies of freshmen to senior is remarkable especially someone like Zoubek. Mason Plumlee already seems to have put on that change. It's alot better team than Duke has had in the past whereas when we missed 3 point shots from Scheyer, Smith, Dawkins, etc.. we would be in trouble. This year we have guys that can rebound and crash the boards and make up for those misses. Zoubek even seems to have created an inside scoring game as i mentioned before. Maybe he's going to have a nice push here at the end of his senior year.

a la ol' Roy, Coach K had a conch shell confiscated from a Miami student last night and had it removed from the arena. The curse of the conch shell will haunt Duke throughout the rest of the season.

Nope. Not kidding. Apparently he said his players were confusing the conch noise with the shot clock or player substitution horns. The conspiracy theorists are saying he just wanted the refs to stop the clock so he could give his players (who were playing a lot of minutes) a blow without using a time-out. Funny stuff.

I guess it fell into the category of whistles, blow horns, or any other random noisemaker.
