shinn's an idiot, and they should see this. Didn't he say that this is his 14 year old child and doesn't want to move it?? Oh yeah, does he still live in charlotte??

  2. Larry - It took, what, 15 years or something for Charlotte to wise up. Why would it take NO any less time? Maybe NO is better suited to somebody like Shinn. Sex Scandal? In NO? Yeah, right.

Freakshow - if the owners bar the movement, they'll be forcing Shinn to sell. Not only that, he'll be forced to sell at a low price. You think the owners want to see a team go for a bargain price?

    A devils advocate-type question

OK, now the Hornets have an offer to buy the team, and at the same time the City Council will (apparently) vote to remove the clause that the city will help build a new arena only if new ownership is in place. OK, I must be missing something here, but lets say the clause is removed, then Shinnridge is denied a move by the league. So, Shinnridge is back in Charlotte, not wanting to sell the team as he says, knocking on the councils door, saying "OK, you said you'd help build a new arena regardless of ownership, give up the cash" What am I missing here? WHy wouldn't this be the situation if the league denies a move?

Because of what has transpired Shinn would still find it difficult to fill the seats even with a new arena.
