    A friend of mine in Raleigh told me about this a week ago (he works at the Durham fishwrap) . . . Gregg Doyel just announced on PRIMETIME that he is leaving the Observer to be a college hoops writer for CBSportsline.com. Who is going to pick up his ACC beat now :confused: ? Ron Green Jr.? Or maybe LarryD can come home and pick up the beat :D :D !!!!!!!!

    Oh....I got all excited when I heard that someone was leaving the Oserver. I was thinking it might be Mike P. No such luck, huh? I guess the Big O willl still have a sports editor who doesn't know jackshit about sports, geography, or anything ellse.
