    8-12, or at at least 2 times a day from what I have read.

    Also it doesn't have to be 1/4 cup water to 3/8 cup four, just supposed to be roughly eqaul parts by weight.

    I guess you figured this part out as well, but just in case...

    Don't use a metal bowl or tin foil to cover it. :satana:

    Plastic wrap also sweats it a lot. Using a clean (preferably white, previously washed in bleach and never used for anything but dishes) cloth to cover it with a rubber band around it might be best.

    This is of course, if they have you cover it. I didn't read it.

    I'm using a large measuring cup, 1 qt, with a plastic lid that just sits on top. It's not the correct lid so it doesn't snap on tight so it can breath.

    Got the wife one of those bread making machines two years ago. She's used it once. Bread wasn't even that good.
