Finally, a Braves team took a championship.

In the final game of the Fall Baseball Season of the Mint Hill AA Minor League, the Braves shutout the Rangers 3-0. Talk about getting hot at the right time, the Braves finished the regular season 3-9. As the last seed in the tourney, the Braves needed a victory in the play in game. Posting a decisive 12-2 victory over the stinky Yankees(who had beaten the Braves the four before), the Braves had to rest on the victory for 6 days because of the rain.

In the semi final matchup on Monday, the Braves used sweet pitching, timely offense and undeniable defense to shut down the #1 Giants.

Tonite's final matchup pitted the Braves vs. the 2nd seed Rangers. A quick two runs in the top of the first proved to be all the Braves needed to sew up the championship. In a real pitchers battle, the Braves won 3-0, leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth.

    Damn...I LOVE SOME KID BASEBALL!!!

Do you take some kinda medication before games so that you don't shake bats at the umps?

Because you shouldn't. That shit is funny, and it will teach the kids to stand up for themselves.

In 1988, the Mint Hill minor league Royals won the championship, and some kid named QueenCityHillbilly was on the mound.

Congrats Bunky, but you are in for it now. They are going to be asking to renegotiate their allownaces, some of them are going to be asking to move to different families, and the ones that stay are going to be expecting to get a parade, double scoops of ice cream - one won't do anymore - ,etc.

    Good luck.

I actually played third base, but I was brushing off the rubber for our stud pitcher. That was the year Louisville Slugger came out with the TPX.
