    HUGE win for Atlanta tonight. This exact same ending occured between Atlanta and Houston back in the regular season. When Atlanta made their one and only trip to Houston, they had a game where Atlanta was playing well at the time but could not get anything going against the Astros. The score of that game was a similar score to tonights, Atlanta down 2. Braves got a threat going in the 7th, Phil Garner decided to go to Lidge for 3 innings. In that game, just like tonight, they tied Lidge in the 8th and won it in extra innings.


    A lot of momentium swung back to Atlanta. Usually having both closers going 3 innings would negate the other team from gaining an advantage in the next game, but I think Atlanta's pen has shown that they can shut down Houston. Garner once again shows a lack in confidence going straight from their 20 game winner to their closer in the 7th inning. Atlanta needs to to exploit Houston's pen in game 3, because Lidge will likely be unavailable.

    the only way lidge skips on saturday is if it's a blowout, either way.

    If Lidge goes on Saturday, I bet it's one inning at the very most.

    you're right. he will not pitch more than the top of the ninth.

    lidge didn't have his A game tonight, that was easy to see. this kid is the next big thing. his stuff is pure nasty. i'm glad he didn't have it tonight.

    i'm honestly not sure about lidge. he regularly went 1+, many times 2 innings during the 2nd half once he inherited the closer spot. i think he could easy go 1 saturday, maybe 1+, and possibly 2.

    Rocket is pitching on 3days rest.I think the fact that the braves lost 8-5 and not 8-2 is a big thing. Yes the braves lost today. But we did not play that bad.look at the ball that hit near Chiper in B6 the score 2runs.look at the Slid by kant at home.I think the braves play much more good today then in game1
