This so far has been a good one... top two teams in the NL right now and they split the 1st 2.

Even though the series was enteraining, I don't put much value into a regular season series. But for San Fran, this series may cost them more in the long term because of the Ray Durham injury Saturday Night.

i was at all three games this past weekend...and the series could have gone either way. saturday's game was up in the air until a questionable no call on a check swing by Castilla that would have ended the inning with no damage in the 7th inning. after that, the flood gates opened up and the braves won the game going away. but hey, the braves played good baseball, and you have to give credit where credit is due...they are a solid club and are one to be reckoned with in september.

unfortunate injury for Durham. all indications are that he is out for 4 weeks minimum. Niefi Perez can only pick up so much slack...and they have lost all three games that Durham has sat out. i hope that this is not the trend.

the scary thing about the giants is that they are still playing .660 ball and Bonds has not even come close to hitting his stride yet. once that happens, this team will be as good as any other in the majors.
