    Torre's record at developing young talent isn't too strong, especially lately. I have a feeling that he'll go with Garciaparra over LaRoche, and you should be glad he didn't get the chance to choose LuGo over Kemp or Ethier. He didn't come out there to slowly build into a contender, so he's going to go with veterans whenever possible.

    Agreed. It spoke volumes last year when Cashman invoked the Joba rules...

    thats what I'm afraid of. hopefully he'll prove everyone wrong and coach a good team this year.

    Frank McCourt let him know on hire, the new guys are untouchable, especially Kemp and Ethier...Ethier we got from a trade so I doubt he would be traded so soon. If he does, Dodgers fan shoot themselves, we're so tired of seeing that...(see Paul Konerko)

    Ethier would be no big loss. If they can get something nice for him, they should. Kemp, on the other hand, obviously has the potential to be special. It's just too bad they can't play Garciaparra, LaRoche, and Loney.

    He has that potential, but he has to control his free-swinging ways because he also has a significant chance of being an underachieving disappointment.
