When I say nobody I mean all the expert writers and talking heads in the business. All the pre-season publications and specials on ESPN, Fox, you name it.......wrote them off. I follow the Braves and know this to be true. They were picked to finish behind Philadelphia, Florida and NY. The hand writing was on the wall, it was time for a change and the Braves time had come and gone. You elude to 26, he even admitted that he REALLY had his doubts. I did too, we stunk early on...got no hit by Randy Johnson and that guy in Milwaukee set some kinda record for strike outs against the Braves. I wont attack your baseball knowledge like you did mine. I just think you want to argue with somebody so I wont trade useless jabs with you.

sorry for the "useless jab" you needed to clarify what you were talking about with the "expert writers giving the braves little if any chance". I apoligize, I thought you said you were writing them off. I personally, never saw a Peter Gammons or any Baseball Tonight staff member ever right them off. They always had "work" to do in the off season and beggining of the season, but all their staff said the same thing as 26, they'll right the ship and be back in the playoffs. Its the Braves, and its Bobby Cox.

how can you compare them and leave out the bottom 2 teams? swap the rockies and d-backs for the mets and expos and it would read a whole different story. you have 2 of the weakest, if not THE 2 weakest teams in baseball in your division. you gotta use all teams when compiling those stats.

you didn't see where I said, "those 2 teams pretty much give up 10 games after the season cause they know they suck"? sure you can leave out those 2 teams, ESPN Baseball tonight does...we can too :xyzthumbs

no, i didn't see that, because you didn't write that. besides, exactly what do you mean by it? sounds like you just helped prove my point to me.

with the unbalanced schedule, teams play their own divisional teams, what is it, like 20 games each? if baseball tonight didn't use the bottom 2 teams, then they were just stupid. you have to with the unbalanced schedule.

since you brought it up again, i added the head to head up for you, AGAIN.

nl east record is 89-71 vs the nl west. even worse than last time we checked.

west has only 2 teams above .500 vs the east, while the east has 4 of its 5 over .500 vs the west, with montreal only 2 below .500.

    nl east vs nl west
    atlanta.......19-13
    philly..........20-12
    florida.........18-14
    ny.............17-15
    montreal.....15-17

    nl west vs nl east
    la..............14-18
    sf..............19-13
    sd.............18-14
    col............11-21
    ari.............9-23

    next topic please?

like i said before, the bottom 2 teams give up basically in June, when they see they have no incentive they need to give 100% all the time. So, its a good stat, NL East is WEEEAAAAK.

can you read? seriously? cause ive said it before, i'll say it again, throwing out the bottom 2 teams...thats what you get. Its cool if you want to get defensive cause you're wrong, and then you throw the whole debate out of whack by making it another debate. fuckin retard sometimes, damn.
