Un-freakin real. Nobody on this earth gave them a chance after losing so many players in the off season. It dont matter to me if they get beat in the post season this year. I will hate it but I'm still amazed that they pulled it off this year of all years. Good job Braves! Good luck in the play-offs!

I agree. Or Minnesota's coach, Ron Gardenhire, I can't name you more than 5 players on their roster off the top of my head. Of course I dont have the baseball package, nor do I watch AL baseball much, but it still amazes me they have dominated w/ their roster. Couple all stars on their team, but nothing more than that. With the Braves you have 4-6 All Stars, and 2 or 3 HOF'ers.

difference is those guys weren't All-Stars at the beginning of the season. THAT'S why Cox should be manager of the year.

Are the Braves really this good, or is the NL East just that weak?

Top 3 teams in the NL East

248 Wins 212 Losses-- Avg record 82.6 wins 70.6 losses

    NL West Top 3 teams

257 Wins 204 Losses-- Avg record 85.6 wins 68 Losses

Im sure 26 will go off on this one. But the numbers dont lie. The NL West strong teams are better than the NL East Strong teams. Teams that care and want to make a difference down the stretch.

It is no secret that the east is not that strong.......MY point is that Atlanta unloaded some big names. Lopez, Sheffield, Maddox, Castilla(?), just off the top of my head to name some. Yes Smoltz, Andruw and Chipper are still there along with Marcus and Furcal. But they've had some young guys step in to carry the load and turned a bad start into a runaway title..........AGAIN. NOBODY gave them a chance in the beginning....NOBODY. That is strong.

I think 26 always believed in them. He never stop giving them chances and defending them. As did I, and I think most people did. I think you're wrong man. 12 year in a row, why not 13? Bobby Cox is one of the best. Thats like saying Jordan wouldn't win his 6th MVP when he struggled in the begginning of the year. Cox is a dynasty in himself. Thats over a decade of dominating. Over 12 years and you didn't give him a chance? Either that explains your baseball intelligence, or you looked too much into the "paper charts" and not the experience Leo and Bobby have with building players, IE Andruw Jones.
