Supposidely has his heart set on Houston and has either played the injury card during one work out and just not shown up a second time for Michael Jordan :wtf23: . So with that in mind ESPN insider says

The skinny: On lottery night, in our first full mock draft, we put Morrison here. The thinking was that he made the most sense for Charlotte. The franchise is struggling with fans, Morrison is the most popular player in the draft and he would give the Bobcats the scoring punch they desperately need.

We changed our projection to Rudy Gay in the second mock draft after getting some feedback that GM Bernie Bickerstaff thought Gay had more upside than Morrison.

We went with Brandon Roy in Mock Draft 3.0 after getting word that new co-owner Michael Jordan preferred Roy to either Morrison or Gay.

So why are we back to Morrison? Gay worked out for Jordan and, from what we hear, didn't really impress. Jordan has not seen Roy work out, because Roy skipped out on the Bobcats for the second time last week -- he seems to have his heart set on joining the Rockets. That might dissuade Jordan from taking Roy.

All of which brings us back to Morrison, a guy Bickerstaff and company have warmed up to the last few weeks. Morrison has the killer competitive instinct that Jordan loves. But more importantly, Jordan's a businessman, and Morrison's arrival in Charlotte could mean big business.

I think the Bobcats should take Roy, but for now, we're putting Morrison here.

I like Morrison alright but I wonder if he can get his shot off against the pros

So why did he puss out in one work out and blow them off in another? Kobe revisited?

There was a note in the "Intel report" on ESPN from the Seattle paper that Roy flew to Virginia to interview with the Cats today.

    Interesting.

No way the Bobcats get a white guy as a high draft pick with Bob, MJ, and Bernie. I do agree with Gay being really good. He was a lot better than Vince Carter was in college already as a sophomore.

"A story making the rounds through the NBA was that Roy was ready to link up with agent Mark Bartlestein, who represents Gonzaga's Adam Morrison, but Arn Tellem got the UW player's business by giving the Roy family $200,000 loan-free to sign with him, effectively changing the player-agent landscape."

Loan free? Tellem GAVE them 200k to sign? I hope that's 200k Interest free

Most agents will do a rookie contract for free if you promise to sign with them through the first FA deal. They make a lot more money on the back end. Therefore this wouldnt surprise me all that much if it was a $200k gift.

Carter only averaged around 7 and a half his freshman year. around 9 or 10 his sophomore year and around 15 his junior year. Gay's numbers are better as a soph than Carter's were as a junior and he has flash and will probably be a better NBA player just like Carter is a better NBA player than he was in college, but it seems like he doesn't care that much and in college that matters. A lot of guys seem like they don't care that much in the NBA. He will be a lot better pro than a college player and he will end up being an All star
