I still don't understand why Boston College even accepted the trip to Boise.

    Edit:
Also, if I hear any more whining from Westerners about an East Coast bias, I think I'm going to throw up. Cal proved last season that they didn't deserve the Rose Bowl bid they missed out on, and I don't know why anyone would think Oregon is as good as Penn State or Ohio State (granted, Notre Dame is overrated too). Down the stretch Oregon needed a fourth quarter fumble return for a TD to beat 3-8 Arizona, a TD in overtime to beat Cal, and a last second field goal to beat 4-7 Washington State (before beating the hell out of Oregon State). The middle and bottom teams in the Pac-10 was embarrassingly bad this season, so Oregon has nothing on which to base their claims. At least UCLA beat Oklahoma (who was weak, but still better than anyone in the Pac-10 except those top three teams).

could be going to much worse places. Will be just like a home game for both teams.

Don't most conferences collect all bowl money and then divide it equally among the teams?

Damn, that sucks. I was initially thinking that at least Georgia could be happy about returning to Atlanta because of the big paycheck, but they don't even have that.

it may be divided proportionately to what is brought in. Top money earning team gets the most and non-eligble bowl teams all get equal amounts. Dont know for sure but this seems to be fair.

This is why Notre dame doesnt want to join a conference.
