did you hear the lantern-jawed asshole whining on sportscenter. "this is the only profession where you (media) come into my office...blah, blah" or some such nonsense. Cry me a fucking river 'roid boy.

    Good column by Skip Bayless.

Who gives a DAM about him, I have never liked or respected Bonds since he was a Pirate. I just wish the press would just leave him alone, that way we wouldn't have listen to his mouth. Just think for a minute, with his ego that way it is, it would drive him crazy! Are you listening people, leave him alone and maybe he will just go away. :woohoo:

It's obvious why you don't like him.

That's an oxymoron if I have ever seen one. That guy became famous because he was the gossip columnist for the Jimmy Johnson-Jerry Jones soap opera.

Hammerin' Hank Aaron was knocking them out of the park at the clip of one homer every 17.4 at bats through the 1968 season. The next five seasons, 69-73, Aaron averaged one every 11.8 at bats, an improvement of 5.6 over his career to that point. He turned 35 just before the 1969 season. The three time former Gold Glove rightfielder started playing more first base, since he got fatter and was having a hard time getting around in the outfield.

I came up with Bonds averaging a homer every 15.7 at bats previous to the 2000 season. He has averaged one every 8.2 since, an improvement of 7.5.

Could Henry and Barry both had that great veteran batting eye and wrists? The umpires giving them better strike zones?

Since we are comparing eras with your watered down pitching comment, how about career strikeouts for a pitcher? Walter Johnson had 3500, all other guys over 3000 played in the era of expansion hitting and undisciplined Hispanic hitters.

Babe Ruth retired as the all time strikeout leader with 1330; Reggie Jackson is the Sultan of Whiff with 2597. Clemens, Ryan, Seaver, Randy Johnson, Blyleven, Pedro, and Steve Carlton couldn't sniff Walter Johnson's jock.

I'm going to address this situation as if I were Donald Rumsfeld.

Did Barry Bonds use performance enhancing drugs? Yes.

Did Jose Canseco, Mark Mcgwire, Sammy Sosa, Jason Giambi, Jeff Bagwell, and a few worthless minor leaguers and some no name from the Devil Rays last year use performance enhancing drugs? Yes.

Did any of the these players ever get an intentional walk with the bases loaded to cut a lead down to one run? No.

Did any of these other players steal 500 career bases? No.

Did any of these other players receive 60 intentional walks a year? No.

Did any of these other players ever hit .360 in a major league season? No.

Did any ot these other players ever win a Gold Glove? No.

Did I not look up if Giambi or Bagwell won a Gold Glove, cause a Gold Glove at first base is a joke? Yes.
