Bonds Indicted

Barry Bonds has been indicted today on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. Poor Barry

 

I just saw the report on ESPN. Is this why the only team to offer Bonds a contract is the Washington Wild Things? They offered him $1200 a month, promised to find him a host family so he didn't have to rent an apartment, promised to split merchandise sales 50/50, and also, and this is the kicker, that he gets his OWN KING SIZED ROOM on road trips! how the hell could he turn that down.....?

Bond's is done, the feds don't bring charges unless they are 99% sure they've got him.

 

This smells to me like a deal was done allowing him to break Aaron's record before he was indicted. This was 4 years in the making.

 

thats a great great point. I did not think of that, but if that is true, there are going to be many, many really pissed off baseball fans out there. Me being one of them. Barry Bonds deserves everything coming to him. He's looking at about 2 years in prison if he's convicted.

 

I can't understand how all the talking heads are so "shocked" by this. The Federal Government spent 4 years and a ton of money on this investigation, they were not going to let it die. Maybe Anderson is about to start singing a tune that Barry won't like.

 

I don't think the feds would have made a deal like that.

 

I think that the deal was with MLB. Seilig gave in untill he broke the record, then the gloves came off.

you know it's gonna happen. Steven A. Smith was on ESPN earlier screaming about how this is a race issue. This is no race issue....this is an asshole issue. Bonds, you are an ass, therefor you deserve to be treated like one, no matter what the color of your sking might happen to be.

 

I heard that shit. He went on to say they were singling out Bonds in an era full of dopers because he was black. No, there were other users that were black, white Hispanic whatever. They are going after him because he is the home-run champion now and because he is an asshole
