At his age with his body breaking down and the 'roid baggage who'll want to shell out major bucks for him?

Edit: Fox News just announced the Giants have cut Bonds loose. Wonder if some one picks him up so he can be on their post season roster?

the yankees will not sign barry bonds. one, they already have their steroid guy in the lineup. two, barry cant help the NY Yankees....they are better without him as a distraction, they already have enough superstars. three, he can't play third base, and with a-rod leaving, they will sure as hell need a guy that can play 3rd. in my opinion, bonds will wind up in Texas, Oakland, or Anaheim.

The fact that Bonds will not be a Giant next year was a foregone conclusion even before this season started. He's a liability on defense and even the nitwads in San Fran are tired of him.

I don't think that anyone will pick him up, and his excuse for retiring will be that no one would match his asking price.

Someone will pick him up. He is sticking around simply to get to 3,000 hits. He needs 66 more. I bet Texas might take him because it'll help put people in the stands as he approaches 3,000 hits.

Collin is right, no one in their right mind will pick him up because Bond's pride won't let himself sign for anything reasonable
