    I'm not a huge fan, but I do watch the "hits". Anyways, they are like broadway meets hollywood, some of it captivates, some of it irritates. So, anyone like it?

    I like it ok.My girlfriend is getting me into it sorta....plus I am the movie guy so like anything on film

    I love how they break out into song at any given time and extras appear out of nowhere to lend a hand. Some of the most unintentionally funny films have been Bollywood jobs :).

    i know what you mean honeygirl. like i said, about 90% of their movies are shit for me- but there are some that really are great. the reason for the over the top mentality and order of the films is due to the demographics of that country. half are poor to poverty- and bollywood films serve as an escape from reality, ergo the flamboyant dress, locations, and songs at the most odd times.

    look for a big change in that. its already started. norah jones will be in one soon. Hollywood is flooding Delhi with screenwriers and producers. Bollywood movies are getting more advanced...some of the new guard of Bollywood movies have done particularly well there (no I cant remember names right now)...seems people, particularly the new generation are not so keen to marathon corny song and dance Romeo and Juliet rip offs.
