The score was close but really TCU kicked their asses for 3 quarters. Once the Horned Frogs (love that fucking nickname!) defense figured out Boise State's offense it was like men against boys. TCU was two missed FG's against Utah from being undefeated.

TCU also got blown out by Oklahoma, but I'm glad they showed that Boise State didn't deserve a BCS bowl bid.

How did they not deserve a BCS bid?

They were #9 in the nation (higher than OSU, Cincy, VT)
    They were undefeated.

They didn't play a tough enough schedule. Being undefeated doesn't mean much if you didn't play many good teams. Look at Hawaii last year getting slaughtered by Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Boise State did have one big game against Oregon, but that just so happened to be when the Ducks were playing with their fourth QB due to injuries. Meanwhile TCU played Oklahoma, Colorado State, BYU, and Utah. Boise generally schedules one BCS opponent per season, but that's not enough to counteract their lightweight conference schedule. If they want to be taken seriously every year, then they need to schedule like TCU does.

You're right. They lost to OU 35-10 and I missed that game on their schedule. Looking at Oklahoma's offense this year 35-10 doesn't seem too lopsided considering the 60+ they've been posting.

Boise should always be forced to play on the Smurf turf.

I agree with Collin. They definitely didn't deserve a BCS bowl and Oregon was almost having to go to their scout team QB in his first action that game. They always schedule one BCS team that's usually around middle of the pack that might be ranked (like a South Carolina type team) and then if they get past that it's smooth sailing because the WAC is terrible. That win against Oklahoma was like the Appalachian State win against Michigan. People were now saying that these non-BCS teams could play against the cream of the crop teams from the Big 12 and SEC on a yearly basis. That game was a pure aberration (and probably the best game of the year) but it was an exception to the rule. If Boise State was in the Big 12 South this year instead of Texas A&M they would've finished 5th and unranked and probably would be borderline ranked/unranked with 4 losses if they played in a BCS conference outside the Big East or PAC-10.

Oh, no doubt. TCU is a legitimately good football team. They would be competitive in any BCS conference.
