    I love them. It's been hard to find them lately with the drought and all, but you can buy them pre-cooked in the can at Food Lion. Put them in a pot with enough water to cover and boil for another 30 minutes to get rid of the preservative taste. I can eat them all night in front of the tv. My dad used to cook them every September.

    Some do. Most end up cooking inside the shell.

    No I am allergic to nuts............he knows I wouldn't have eaten any of 'em. I agreed that the smell is nasty!

    I've cooked peanuts on a rotisserie. damned tasty.

    word to the wise: be prepared to go through at least 100 nuts for every one you successfully get on the skewer.
