    Dear Charlotte Bobcats,

I want to support you, I really do. So here's a challenge for your marketing staff. Sell me on the future of this team.

Here is what I see now:
Our head coach is very old, seems disinterested in coaching, could retire at any time.
Our team has no superstars (or potential superstars), just a bunch of decent to role players. This talent will struggle to even grab an 8 seed.
Financially we are loaded with horrible contracts, and the ownership seems reluctant to spend money.
Historically, our drafts have been an abomination.

So, give me hope here. What is improving, why should I buy a ticket ?

Our one hope currently is that we've been listed as one of the destinations for Carmelo Anthony. If Jordan can pull some shit and bring Melo here, who in turn brings a couple of super friends (Chris Paul etc) then all of a sudden we're the new Miami.

But that's hardly a reason to buy a ticket today, that's beyond a long shot imo. I'm definitely frustrated with the moves we've made this off-season, but if DJ can develop it might make us forget about Felton. Same with Thomas developing into something better than Chandler could provide. And Livingston has true NBA talent (with 40 year old knees.)

The main problem with this franchise has been the drafting, and unfortunately thus far under Larry Brown's tenure that has not seemed to improve.

    -agree on Larry Brown

I would say that they only have two bad contracts:Diop and Diaw.Diaw has the potential to earn his but that is another story. Diop will earn his just by being on the floor this year. Wallace,Jackson and now re-signedThomas(they spent money) make some good money but those are our "stars". They just unloaded one of those contracts but you are bitching about that. can't have it both ways. as far as a "name" like Paul,Carmelo Anthony...those guys are only going to play in a handful of markets as a free agent. Charlotte probably is not one of them. and you cant just demand the Hornets trade Paul lhere because we have an expiring contract and a bunch of junk to throw in.
