Check out CnnSI. Dwyer/Inside the NBA did a rating on all the NBA TV announcers. They were not kind to the Bobcats announcers.

 

Wow. Interesting read. I'm not real suprised by the grades. I liked seeing Bob Licht and Gil McGregor ranked as well as they are. I miss McGregor.

 

Yeah, yesterday they showed bonus coverage of the Hornets Jazz game. l didnt realize that ol' Gil's still with the team.

 

Interesting that Devlin works some games for TNT, but gets a D+ grade from this guy. I don't think Devlin's bad, it's the team that's bad. If you have a hard time watching Bobcats games as I do (I may have seen two quarters in the past two seasons), maybe it's because the team stinks and not the announcer. Trust me, it's hard to broadcast for a team that stinks and anyone who gets through that deserves more credit than they get.

Let's hear some of Kelly Dwyer's work so we can critique him since he's so quick to criticize the NBA announcers. I think he's off on some of these guys. When a guy is too old, you need to say so and not excuse the mistakes (as he does with Dick Stockton - a la Pat Summerall).
