I think Livingston blew out his knee against us in a game in LA, it was brutal.

He's been on my radar for a long time, either signed with Duke or was considered a lock to go to Duke before heading to the NBA. I know it took Duke until this upcoming year to get another great PG prospect (although Paulus was obviously a 'top PG prospect' we all knew after his first year that he would struggle to develop into a great PG.)

Livingston has a lot of great skills as far as ball awareness, he's big for a guard, good rebounder, silky smooth game. He's a good signing but there's no telling how his knees are.

He has been kicked around the league a bit so that is not a good sign. If his knees were decent he would have probably stuck somewhere by now.

I think there were concerns about his knees in HS. After an injury like that it's not surprising it's taken this long to come back. But definitely there's no guarantee that he's 'back.' At best he can become a valuable bench player for us, if we're counting on him to start we're in trouble.

I had not seen that video before. That was awful. I have seen stuff that bad in football like Joe Thiesman or Napoleon Kaufman but that was the worst basketball injury I have ever seen.

If this is so we can ship out DJ and get CP then it will be great.

I'm wondering what is going on with the Hornets financial situation. Shinn was right on the verge of selling the team when the BP accident happened. Apparently that hurt the buyer and the sale has been put on hold? Meanwhile the Hornets are bleeding money and Okafor's contract apparently is sinking them. Perhaps we can work a DJ + Dampier's non-guaranteed for CP3 and Okafor? Not sure what else would need to be included to make a deal like that happen.

Hornets let their GM go yesterday also.

I remember that video as I couldn't even make it half way through it. 6-7 is nice size, hope he can stay healthy.

I wouldn't just expect NO to hand deliver paul . why would a team trying to sell give up it's biggest asset? I totally see them trying to unload okafor though. On the other hand, I think DJ(tet not augustine) said if would be a nice token from shinn to help Charlotte out before he bows out.agreed. you know like Jerry West giving Gasol to LA while he was in Memphis or McHale giving Garnett to the Celtics for nothing. we can only hope :FIMunching06:

I think Chris Paul is a long way away from being a Bobcat, but....

From what I've read the Hornets are in pretty big trouble. The team is in turmoil, the agreement Shinn had to sell the team has basically fallen apart, they're way in trouble with the cap, and thier fanbase is starting to leave them in pretty big numbers.

So I could see them wanting to trade something to us in order to get Dampier's contract, which would at least give them relief in one of their troulbe areas. Okafor would be the more likely thing they offer(they're shopping him around already), but I'm not sure that we'd be willing to take him back. If the Hornets got desperate enough for that contract, I think we might be able to pull Paul from them for relatively little. I do wonder what other teams have to offer that would be better though?

Getting Paul and Okafor out of this would be pretty sweet.
