Damn I realize NO Charlotte franchise has had a decent second round pick (with the exception of Malik Rose who never blossomed with us) but that's no reason to keep giving them away like candy. I am really having a hard time seeing where Voskuhl fits with Primoz and Okafor.

First they are saying that Okafor can play some five while May plays four, then they say May can play three, which he can't. I have to admit I have a huge grudge against Voskuhl, but I don't remember reading that he was any good. 2 points and 2 boards? Can't get playing time on a team without a center? What The Fuck.

i wouldnt get too worked about it until the bobcats get him under contract....they cant do that until the CBA is in place officially, and voshkul could be sent packing before any contracts are talked about--all they have are voshkul's rights...which I agree aint worth that much, at least not 2m per year.

Well, we're trading a PG (whom we need, since Knight isn't under contract) for a second rounder and trading our second rounder for a player whom we don't need.

So the way I see it (Hart makes a mil more than Vos I believe), we're swapping need for excess and moving down in the second round to save a mil on the cap that we aren't even going to use?

Sorry, I don't see the justification there, no one is going to want Voskuhl, although perhaps this frees us up to trade Primoz? :(

As long as Knight resigns I've got no problem trading Hart, but with the addition of May, Voskuhl makes no sense. It would be different if he could play a little.

---edit---If we are doing this to keep Joe Johnson from going to the Hawks, that is terrible motivation that could come back to bite us in the ass should ATL sign Wade/Melo/Bron/Bosh next year with all the cap space they didn't use this year. I'm just upset because this is the first legitimately stupid move I've seen the Cat's make, and I don't want it to be a trend. Of course, things change, so I'll hope for the best.

I see your logic, but I doubt the Cats will deal Primoz. Voshkul ain't that kinda player. I'll wait and see how this plays out. I dont thik JV is in uniform on opening night, IMO

Considering the Hawks wanted Primoz to move up to grab Marvin Williams, I agree we aren't going to trade him. At least we better not, he's only 25 and is only going to get better.

I hope you're right Mike about Voskuhl not being in uniform opening night. I mean, it's not like we gave up the house for him, but our second rounder is likely going to be pretty high next year. It's disappointing to see us throw those away.

I have a feeling they just cut the guy. He never makes the roster. The Bobcats are simply taking a cap hit for another team, so a division rival isn't able to get better. Its no different than some of the guys they took on in the expansion draft. They had to trade a second, because you have to trade SOMETHING. So they simply make it conditional. Take a small cap hit for the guy, stop the Hawks from getting Johnson, and simply move on. Smart move by the management.

Oh and FWIW, I have a feeling that there's no way the team would be looking at trading Hart, if they weren't pretty confident that Knight would be returning.

Yep. That's exactly my take on the matter.
