Bobcats sign Kwame Brown

Not a terrible pick-up for what we need but it's hard to get excited over this. Interesting signing considering what has come out from Jordan's days at the Wizards and how he tried to help Kwame get 'mentally tough.'

Also of minor note, can't remember where I read it (perhaps Bill Simmons column) that Brown is the strongest player in the NBA.

 

We needed help inside. Mohamed and Diop were not going to get it done for a full season. Dampier may not be here.

Kind of surprising that Jordan would want him back.

 

Looking back at that draft Tyson Chandler went #2 after Kwame. Interesting that Jordan chose Brown over Chandler then and has basically replaced Chandler with Brown now.

 

Can Jordan make the same mistake twice?

Well, he did just get sent to the Bobcats.

 

best hope we can have here is that Larry brown gets something out of him others haven't

 

That is the hope with Tyrus Thomas as well. If both those guys pan out maybe we have some solid inside game this year. Sort of a big question mark though.

 

Scary that the NBA minimum is a shade under $2 mil a season.
