    Great news.

Tough hearing about Sean May, that doesn't sound good at all, and explains the Dudley pick.

    more from today's gazette

The team remains hopeful of re-signing coveted free agent Gerald Wallace. A source close to the negotiations said Sunday they were confident the Bobcats and Wallace would strike a deal by the end of the week....

I still think the Bobcats made a mistake giving Carroll that much money, and that it will end up biting them down the line when they need either a backup PG for the injury-prone Felton or a big man to complement Okafor. $26 million and a #3 overall pick to cover 25 minutes of playing time.

In all fairness, Simmons is a moron.

Carroll may just be an indicator of the relative value of players. A huge contract today seems average in a year or two.

With Richardson and Wallace on board I wonder what kind of shape they are in verses the cap? If they could snag a big man who can score they would be in real good shape.

They've still got the cap space to do that, but there's really not much availbe worth pursuing.

    In other breaking news.......

Veteran center Jake Voskuhl has reached agreement with the Milwaukee Bucks on a one-year, $3 million contract, ESPN.com has learned.

The signing was expected to be announced Thursday, when the Bucks were to renounce their rights to at least one of their five free agents in order to clear room to sign Voskuhl. Milwaukee's unrestricted free agents are Ruben Patterson, Brian Skinner, Earl Boykins and Jared Reiner. Also, Ersan Ilyasova (who plans to play in Europe next season) and Charlie Bell are restricted free agents.

Voskuhl, a seven-year veteran, averaged 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14 minutes per game last season for the Charlotte Bobcats, his third NBA team. With the Bucks, he will join Dan Gadzuric as a backup to Andrew Bogut.

Yeah, as much as I blasted Voskuhl when we got him, I liked him as well. He played hard and contributed, Stuart Gray would have been jealous.
