    Classy, yes, but not for what we got. And Smith would have been a big contributor but Bickerstaff never played him.

    Bernie said this morning it was part of the original agreement with Steve that if a contender would make an offer they would let him go. He is old and they got a pick for him. It makes perfect sense to me.

    Regardless of that. Smith is an old guy who is not in our long range plans. He was also not playing much. Letting him leave basically costs us nothing.

    The guy is 27years old.Play at Nova.This trade is like rant becuase both Smith and Allen are FA at the end of the season.btw we did not get a pick for him.But we got some cash

    Allen gives us some depth behind our big men and he his contract is up soon. We get to audition him for half a season and then decide if we want him back or not. That is not too bad of a deal really. Steve Smith is almost done and letting him go to a contender is a classy move that does not hurt us from a basketball perspective. Sure getting Dwayne Wade and next years first rounder would have been better but it is not a bad trade.
