True, I didn't take into account at the time he would come back and play for 2 more seasons. He would have really helped our team, especially after Bobby Phills died. In your scenario, Jordan would have been on that team (a year before his actual comeback.)

No telling how Jordan could have impacted a young Baron and a moody Mashburn, too.

It would have been a MUCH better situation than Jordan found himself in washington.

Shinn was so hated that the only thing he could have done to turn it around was bring Jordan on board. At that time Jordan was golden to everyone. Shinn should have done it.

I agree though that Bass is a better personnel guy than Jordan, much better.

The Bobcats are going to get no love until they actually have a good season. I guess that is rigthfully so this year. They have not added anyone of any consequence except for the head coach.

I will stand by what I said last year though. Richardson, Wallace and Okafor are a good enough base to make the playoffs in a weak eastern conference. If the kid they drafted at the point has a good rookie year they should be improved. They still need a big man who can score though.

It will be interesting to see if Kosta Koufos or DeAndre Jordan turn out to be any good.

I have a hard time believe the Bobcats can be worse than they were last year with that retard Vincent at the helm.

Take last year, subtract an idiot coach who pissed off all the players, add 3 lottery picks (Augustin, May, Morrison) and Larry Brown and they somehow get worse?

    That boggles the mind.

It's almost as stupid as saying New York will finish ahead of them, since that's never happened.

From the article it appears that he thinks pretty much every lottery East team except New Jersey has improved. The Bobcats added a point when they already had one, and no one is expecting May or Morrison to be difference makers at this point. Plus no one's counting on Larry Brown being a miracle worker after the Knicks debacle. Whether you think they'll finish 14th or 12th, they do appear to be a very long shot to make the playoffs.

Miami will be signifcantly better, but they have very little post presence.

Chicago still has nothing in the post, and who knows how Rose will do. I think that expecting a Deron Williams or Chris Paul rookie year is asking a lot. They've also got a rookie head coach.

Indiana loses Jermaine O'Neal, and brings in TJ Ford, Rasho Nesterovich, Jarrett Jack, and rookie Roy Hibbert

I dunno, I'm not buying that prediction of 14. Philly is the only team that has gotten substantially better. Maybe Milwaukee, adding Jefferson, but he's a bit overrated.

Making the playoffs will be tougher this year.

The Heat, Bucks, and Knicks were the only ones worse last season, but Miami and Milwaukee both improved substantially. I think you're probably right about Charlotte finishing ahead of New York, but there isn't much reason to think that they'll pass anyone except New Jersey. And as for the playoffs, well that almost seems out of the question. Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington, Toronto, Cleveland, and Orlando look like locks. That 8th spot is up for grabs, but they'd have to beat an awful lot of teams to get it.

I'm not entirely sure Toronto is a lock, especially with O'Neal's significant injury history.

Washington's interesting too, if Gilbert isn't healthy, who knows.
