    :77321_bs: the problem was with the folks that own NBC 6. They were partners with us until one of their major properties (a certain newspaper in Dallas) did some Arthur Andersen-like accounting. When they needed cash on hand, they gutted what they deemed expendable properties, and almost got us.

    There are no Time Warner franchises west of Shelby. Charter Communications dominates the cable landscape in the Western Carolinas. Areas like Asheville/Marion, Boone, Hickory/Morganton are covered by Charter. Like I've said from day one, at least 30 games should be shown over-the-air, and the rest can go to Time Warner's outfit. While Charlotte is a growing city, I don't think the metro area itself can sustain a large enough fan base for the Bobcats. They'll get Raleigh out of this new deal, but with that area being in the heart of tobacco road, I wonder how many people in that area actually care about the NBA?

    slightly, this gives anyone with TW cable the ability to watch instead of just those with digital cable.

    Are you kidding? Have you even been paying attention to all the info about Bob Johnson? The guy is even cheaper than Shinn (I didn't think that was possible), and he doesn't even have the sense to build a ticket base before raising prices. The Bobcats will be out of town in less than five years, and good riddance.
