A 9 year deal ? ? ? Yikes!!!!!!!!! I pray that Tapscott & Co./TWC can get other cable outlets in the Carolinas to pick up NEWS14 . . Its going to be a shame if only folks in the big markets of the Carolinas can watch the game!!!!! Once again, folks in North Meck Co. may not be able to watch the games . . But I'm sure that was a consideration when the team was making a decision   . . .

I will with ya SS. I consider myself a fairly easy to market to mainstream sports fans. But Bob Johnson and the NBA has done nothing to market this team or sport to me. I do not have cable, will never have cable so unless they plan on beaming the signal towards the sky, I will hardly ever see a game. And tickets would not only have to be free, but include a ride and half my beers paid for as well. I have no idea who is on the roster except for Okefor, and I am not even sure what position he plays. They walked into a sweet deal with a damned nice stadium built for them with tax payer money, and then have the shameless nerve to turn around and double the ticket charge on the handful of existing season ticket holders they did have. And from what I have seen from the charity of Bob Johnson Inc, I have a feeling in five years we will be yearning for the good old days with George Shinn. This man Johnson takes cheap to new levels not even realized around the corner of 47th and 6th in Manhatten...

Your guys have been kicking the Bobcats around in negotiations, beginning with the CSET deal and it looks like TWC did it again. Amazing.

Dude, it's the Bobcats that are fucking everyone that doesn't have cable. They didn't have to sign with TWC. I think it's a huge mistake for them to go with cable only.

and fuck if anyone outside a semi major market in NC will ever get to see a game.

i thought their plan was to FIX the TV situation after the CSET fiasco. is this any better?
